Jen Arnall-Culliford, The Knitter's Technical Editor

I am delighted to welcome you to my blog pages, here at The Knitter website. I hope that over the coming months we’ll get to know each other, and I can share with you a little more of life behind the scenes of The Knitter.

Earlier this week, for instance, we’ve been at our photo studios, taking the team photo and individual pictures for the Meet the team page.

It all sounds quite glamorous, but I can assure you that it isn’t.  Many photographs don’t turn out to be very flattering.

I’m not a natural in front of the camera, and you can barely see my eyes in most of the photos… Getting used to having your picture taken is part and parcel of working on the magazine, though.  The photographers do try to make us feel comfortable, but sometimes they catch us unawares!

I’m looking forward to showing you some of the projects I have been working on – you’ll be amazed, as there’s even some crochet in my work-in-progress pile at the moment. This is a startling turn of events for me!

I’d love to hear about what you are getting up to, so do leave a comment or let me know if you have answers to any of the questions I am pondering. Today’s question is: “How do models do it without looking dorky like I do?”
